Beat us 1-0 in the last friendly before the tournament, though it was without many of the first choice players in all honesty. They were OK, Sinclair is a favourite and Schmidt scored a very good goal
 
Is it correct that the quarter final is being played in the middle of the night? (well our middle of the night..)
 
12.30 am kick off (Saturday Night/Sunday Morning).
 
Maybe England were not at their best, but they fought back well, scored a great winner, and who knows how far they can go.

If the Canadian stars show up, then the Canadian women can be very good. But so far, the big names have not performed. I don't know the England women's team so can't say whether or not that is true for them. I expect a fast-paced, open game with both teams going for it. If Sinclair, Tancredi, and Schmidt turn up for Canada and play like they can, then Canada will come alive because the team has been carried by the youngsters so far. But that has happened before that teams that scrape into the knock-out rounds really begin to play and that's how championships are won. I think that sums up the tournament so far: which team is going to show up and play its top football. Only Japan, Germany, and France have yet shown glimpses of what they can do. But Germany and France play each other. The USA have not played well yet. England has been coming on but, if the Canadian stars choose to turn up on Saturday, then I think England will be going home. And I for one will be exceedingly pleased! I always support the England men's team ('cos the Canadian men's team is dross, the better players choose to play for other countries, e.g., Hargreaves played for England) but in women's football, I support Canada. May the better team win on Saturday and I think it will be Canada.
 
France dominating Germant so far, playing some excellent football. Get the feeling they will rue these missed chances however!
 
France go up through a deflected Necib shot. Wouldn't mind seeing the Germans go home at this juncture.
 
I've enjoyed watching France more so I hope they go though, penalty Germany now. 1-1
 
That's one of the worst dives i've ever seen. How has she not been shown a yellow card?
 
One of the worst dives you'll ever see from France just.
 
Think France might be feeling a bit sorry for themselves a bit here, this game had got some edge to it as well.
 
France and Germany easily the best teams in womens football now..usa and brazil have slipped somewhat behind now..but i bet they will bite back
 
We still have the talent but Jill Ellis is a complete hack.
