The Official Euro 2016 Megathread

It's not going to go down as a vintage tournament. Too many terrible games, the group stage being flawed to the point of plenty of teams not trying to win matches, no real standout team and Portugal going all the way to the final when they are at least as shite to watch as Greece were in 2004.

Not a total shocker like South Africa 2010, but overall fairly disappointing.

2 posts that are absolutely bang on for me.
 
Tonights teams.

Neuer; Kimmich, Höwedes, Boateng, Hector; Can, Schweinsteiger; Özil, Kroos, Draxler; Müller.

Lloris; Sagna, Koscielny, Umtiti, Evra; Pogba, Matuidi; Sissoko, Griezmann, Payet; Giroud.
 
On paper you'd expect Pogba and Matuidi will run rings around Can, Bastian, and Kroos.
 
Great play by Griezman. If its on his left foot I would suspect Neuer wouldn't have had any chance, good save though.
 
Some excellent patient passing by Germany creating two good opportunities. Lloris making a top save from the 2nd chance.
 
France struggling to get a kick after a bright start. They still look dangerous on the break though.
 
At the minute this game is showing how much technique and tactical knowledge are so underrated compared to physical attributes. Griezmann and Payet looking like the only real dangers for France. Germans just lacking that finisher.
 
Good shout on comms, France could do with Kante on ASAP. Sissoko is a waste of a shirt.

He needs to come on, he's got the physical attributes but he's got a brain and a heart. Only a matter of time at the moment.
 
Giroud looked like he was running through treacle there, so slow. Boateng got away with that one big time.
 
Fucking great tackle from Howedes though.
