French deserved winners on the basis of the second half. Ireland completely fell to pieces once they equalised, and it was game over even before the red card. Nothing to be afraid of if England can beat Iceland, put the French under pressure and they will crumble. First goal will be key as it could and should have been in this one.

We wont beat France, we'll huff and puff, maybe create a few chances before Pogba or Payet stick one in from 35 yards and then we'll stop playing.

Straight forward for Germany. We huffed and puffed but could not break the Slovaks down, yet Germany are doing it at will.

We did break them down, we had at least five clear cut chances. We didn't take those chances. Bad finishing rather than not being able to unpick an all out defence approach.
