The Music Thread Strikes Back

I loved the space monkeys back in the day. Listened to their album last year and it sounded dated. Bentley rhythm ace should be fun.
Also thought the lo-fidelity allstars were going to be huge.

The Darkness were absolutely superb. Ash supported, who are a good solid band & I recognised all their songs - but The Darkness are a complete step up in terms of quality and showmanship. They raced through a 20 song setlist - good mix across all albums but a good 6-7 new songs. Have to say from what I've heard of the new album it sounds very promising.

If they roll through your town I would highly advise to go see them if you never have.

Stevie wonder tour goes on sale tomorrow. Looks like tickets range from £85-£175. Pre-sale on now & nothing was less than £137. Most tickets were "VIP" packages priced over £400. Suspect for a decent view seat it'll be over £150.

Any suggestions for music to have on whilst decorating? Have 2 projects on the go. Been enjoying delving into some stuff I haven't listened to for a while, and value anyone recommending stuff that they can listen to all the way through Have been swapping between some dj mixes (for the continuity), some bonus discs (to listen to things I haven't heard often), and some lemon jelly (natch!) Screamadelica was a pleasant revisit the other day.

Dug out Hatful of Hollow to listen to while cooking tonight...great album that takes me back to teenage years vividly...what a record

includes the gem, This night has opened my eyes.
"you kicked and cried like a bullied child, a grown man of 25..."
add 30-40 years and he could still be singing about himself :)

40th birthday from a couple weeks back. great album

Saw them many times in the early 80's.

Went to the Royal Albert Hall in 1985 to what was billed as their final gig. There were only the three of them that took the stage as Gary Marx had left by that time.
