The Mental Health thread

For me personally it's a chemical imbalance thing... Always been there, always will be.

COVID sure as shit ain't helped, though.
ok, got you

Just keep dreaming of your trip to the golden palace Alan.

When are you planning on coming over Alan?

Hopefully late this season or early next... COVID pending, of course. Still waiting to hear back from Uncle Sam about my passport but can't imagine I've got anything on my record that would get me rejected.

Except that one party in college...

In my defense, I didn't do any coke. I was just in the same room as coke. A lot of coke.

I was mislead about the type of party it was, I swear.

Just tell them you plan to visit the South Bank toilets. There would be a lot more coke in there than in Tango and Cash

I've never shat in a public toilet and I don't plan to start now.

I must apologise for my breakdown a couple of weeks ago. Not fair to put that shit on you fellas.

I'm at least halfway to recovery, the full shebang will take a while.

I'll still be talking shite on here throughout.

agree with tredders. being able to get support, options and opinions is why this thread is here. and sharing experiences as well as support.

i've had some periods of huge struggle over late autumn and winter. for the first time in my life i've taken time off work. prolonged time too.

some of the blog posts you have done outlining your own issues have been helpful. you give/support as well , and it's important to remember that.

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced mental health issues myself but I’m fairly sure I’ve subconsciously or not ignored them when others have been in need of help. This is a certainly more a reflection on me and my lack of awareness than them.
Sharing your troubles on here hopefully helps you and is also dragging someone like me into the modern world. I hope that you (and others) talking about it will help me recognise others in need of help in my personal life as well.
P.S. Your posting told me you were doing better, until your praise (albeit fleetingly) of Sa threw me!

I hope you continue to get and stay better.

Seconding what Warwick has said.

This forum is a pretty special little community. We're quite lucky to have it, IMO.

No apologies needed. Really pleased to see a positive outcome.
