Gary O'Neil seems the obvious choice. Knows this division as assistant to Scotty Parker at Bournemouth, two great seasons in the PL as manager, and the wheels came off when he was promised - but not granted - financial support in three successive transfer windows.

He had that Wolves team playing some sumptuous football, and was minutes away from a Wembley FA Cup SF v Cov, when his severely injury-ravaged squad bottled it. And who can forget his tactical masterclass on Monday Night Football.
