The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

I kind of think Frank would be a coup for them. His tactics can be annoying as shit (doubly so if it was at a "big" club) but he's an excellent coach IMV.

They’ll probably do another Solskjaer and give it to Van Nistelrooy and waste the rest of the season, a Ratcliffe appointment I believe.

I imagine the City high-ups are currently placing many many millions in a brown envelope for Amorim to wait until Pep leaves.

Or just to stop Utd getting him and then for extra lolz, replace Pep with someone else.

Saw a United mate (generally sensible) mention Emery earlier - mate, Villa are in a better European competition than you, have better players in every position and are miles above you in the league. Dream on.

I dunno, I get what you're saying but ego is involved sometimes and if you get it right at United (and it's a big if with all that's gone on there over a decent period of time) the size of club and scope is much bigger than the Villa job.

Its toxic. B6 isn't, is highly paid and they are a lot better all round at the moment

Remember the days we realistically thought we could get him :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

If we HAD to move on from Nuno (which I vehemently deny we did and will do so until the day I shuffle off the planet) then he or someone like Marco Rose or Paulo Fonseca were the kind of level of candidate we should have been looking at.

Not Carlos Carvalhal's wanker of a cone boy.

Ten Hag sacked on Monday , new man in by Thursday of the same week .

What are the chances of us being that efficient ?

We appointed a manager very quickly not too long ago. Saunders, I think his name was.

There’s probably only about ten managers in the world that would turn down the United job.

I still maintain that we won't have any shortage of people looking for our gig . It's a Premier League job with a lot of games left to get us out of trouble . It's not February .
I also think these people will be lads of decent pedigree as well - the only question is , will Jeff pay up for that talent , or will he just go cheap again .

More pertinent is when will he act? The longer we leave the almost (99.9999%) inevitable the fewer candidates will be interested.

I was thinking that anyone actually decent can look at what happened with Lop and not trust a word Jeff says about potential winter transfer window money, or even the bigger picture in terms of aims. Surely outsiders can see inside a bit by now

If GON were to go any time in the next two weeks we'd probably end up with someone like like Gareth Ainsworth.

I agree to an extent but if anyone cares to dig a bit deeper at Smooth Stroperator's sob story, they'll see that it's not one way traffic.

He got given an insane budget all in one month, didn't seem to know how to use some of the players that we signed at great expense, he was totally unprofessional in whining TWICE to that fat cunt Ballbag, and then most of the players we let go before he flounced...he wasn't using anyway (and they weren't cheap to have sitting around doing nothing).

No chance. If we lose on Saturday they're going to get proper spooked (Halloween, get it, no?) and will be aiming a lot higher than Gareth Ainsworth

A lot higher than GA doesn’t exactly narrow it down a lot!
