It does yes, he has spent record amounts on Ramsdale, Berge, Mcburnie and Brewster. Only one of them will recoup what they paid.

Also had some other bigish fees comparable to previous spending, in there for players that havent impacted the team at all.

Not easy to recruit at their level of spending. Finished articles are higher in price or pick bigger clubs, go for highly rated prospects and it doesn’t necessarily work out.

McBurnie and Brewster were both relative gambles based on Championship form (appreciate Brewster came from Liverpool), neither having played in the PL before. For that amount you'd expect one of them to come good, but without goals coming from anywhere else it puts a lot of pressure on those players to be the man rather than a complimentary piece. Assuming they are both there next season it wouldn't surprise me at all if they score 35+ between them back at that level

Ramsdale and Mousset I can't defend.
