He hasn't done anything of any note for a long, long time. His last game was a home defeat to the Faroe Islands.

Might stick money on them going down.

That's an horrific appointment, would really love to know the logic behind this choice.

He'll be gone by Christmas.

Leicester fans on the Foxestalk forum generally seem quite happy about the appointment.

Yes but people on here backed Saunders.

No, but if something looks like a terrible, terrible idea I don't see why you should hold your tongue for fear of 'not getting behind them'.

To me this has every box ticked for a total cataclysm. Big name (that the rich owners have heard of), who has performed at Saunders-levels of incompetence for some time? Tick. Will want to be active in the transfer market and buy in a load of totally unsuitable players? Tick. Will piss around with the matchday squad and have no fucking clue about his main starting XI? Tick.

Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford fans should be delighted at this move

You are correct, but know that I wouldn't have had the same level of knowledge on his past exploits as you at that time - certainly I hadn't spent any time following his previous managerial career.

Fabio Capello sacked by Russia

Not the appointment I expected. And Ranieri is used to being at clubs challenging for honours. He will find things a little different at Leicester City.

Hilarious by Leicester, thats their Ståle Solbakken appointment. Definite relegation candidates.

He's lucky they didn't just poison him.

This is the kind of thing that made me vehemently opposed to him coming here when we sacked Mick. Yes, he is better than Terry Connor, would have managed more than 0 wins for the remainder of that season and even though he wouldn't have saved us, equally he wouldn't have got us relegated to League One the following year. But eventually it all ends in tears with him, he wastes money, he leaves behind a shambles and he never takes any responsibility for anything. You read through those quotes and you wonder who it actually was that relegated Hull....after spending north of £40m last season.
