Former Chelsea physio, Eva Carneiro, is reportedly under intensive care in a London hospital after a prolonged fit of laughing left her life in serious danger.
University College London hospital confirmed a 41-year-old woman was admitted at around 3:30pm this afternoon suffering with breathing complications.
“We received an emergency call at around 3pm reporting a woman rolling around in convulsions of laughter which were preventing her from breathing properly,” a hospital source told us.
“A witness stated that the symptoms had started at 2:45pm and had gotten progressively worse over the next fifteen minutes.”
“We understand the woman had been undertaking her usual routine of sitting down to check the news on Chelsea football club, and at this stage we believe this to be the cause of the debilitating fits of laughter.”
Eva Carneiro hospitalised
A neighbour of Carneiro, said he saw the physio receiving CPR in the front lawn of her garden, having earlier been seen skipping around it in a what appeared to be a home-made Leicester City kit.
They told us, “I do hope she’s ok – the paramedics did look quite concerned as they treated her.
“That said, I’ve never seen anyone look so incredibly happy whilst being loaded into an ambulance.”
