The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

It's down to the ref's discretion to make them do it if he feels it necessary. It's not a hard rule.

Seen players booked by refs in European Leagues when they take the usual path off the pitch. I think our refs are just glad to have a break in the game as players stroll off

Chelsea look great, they have no fear of city and it’s paying dividends. City aren’t right at all.

Very harsh on Chelsea who've been much the better team.

Class by Mahrez (would possibly slightly question Emerson, but it's easier said than done to stop him even if you know what he's going to do)

Sterling has about as much luck with VAR as we usually do.

Decisions that are that marginal are still bollocks.

You can't tell me that there is zero margin for error in a system like that.

There’s no way that should be called offside.

He probably is off, his shoulder is further forward than Zouma's arse. Not what VAR should be used for though

That's not what I thought VAR was for - not an obvious & clear error & no way that could be called offside in real time.

Using slomo & artificially drawn lines to show a couple of centimetres off is not a reasonable outcome.

Football fans are ace. Boro fans giving a Hull player all manner of abuse. His crime? Getting the full force of a challenge in his knee and the Boro player, rightly, getting a red for it

I have Stoke friends who still hate Ramsey because he had the temerity to smash his leg up after a Pulis-style challenge.

he should have run that one off tbh.

I understand if they hated Arsene who went all in on the thugs after the game but Ramsey is an odd one

Just switched on the last 10 or 15 mins of this - I’d genuinely forgotten how shit championship football can be, it’s just dreadful.
