The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

Madison and Vardy have both had great chances to make it 1-2.

Willian has been appalling since he came on

He’s certainly not at that stage but quite clear that they can’t perform consistently in the way he is looking for his team to play. They don’t really have the quality. Might get there eventually with time but could be a very tough season for them

I don't think he's in serious trouble right now, but IMO it's inevitable that he'll be sacked before the end of the season.

The only way Lampard gets sacked is if they're bottom half of the table at Christmas, Chelsea surely have to cut him some slack with the team he has inherited, the fans will be patient I would think

Maybe I'm too cynical as he shouldn't be near that kind of managerial job to begin with.

Lampard only took the job after Abramovich guaranteed he'd be there at the start of next season come what may. Obviously he could go back on that, but I think they'd need to be in genuine relegation trouble for that to happen.

The fail saying exactly what I tried to last week - in no way does VAR provide a definite answer on offside.

Until it can be implemented quickly, correctly and accurately we should bin it off.

Nope, utterly wrong but that's what you get when you use wrong data to begin with. The article assumes incorrectly that one camera with one frame rate is used. This is about as incorrect as you can get.

There is a map of the cameras in the stadium on Twitter and whilst we see the HD cameras the actual cameras run at higher frame rates.

To add to this there are 20+ cameras with differing frame rates used around the stadia whose pictures are fed, and this is the important bit, into imaging software which is accurate to the pixel thus giving the correct decision.

Murphy's good with his analysis on the game but like the Daily Heil just thick as fuck when it comes to everything else.

BT said when they went 1-0 down on Saturday that at that point, they'd faced seven shots on target all season. Six had gone in.

Jones has to be on borrowed time. Three wins since he went there and spent crazy amounts.

I hate Stoke so wouldn't mind them getting relegated.

Even when they were in the prem their seasons only were deemed successful if they'd broken someone else's leg

Wtf was he doing just watching that dribble in the net then? Stoke really are poor.

I can't believe how shite Stoke are. League 1 beckons

Seems he's gone very Solbakken. Just used the exact same tactics he employed at Luton (diamond midfield, full backs pushed on) but they clearly don't have the players to make it work. And nothing changes, week after week.

P24 W3 D12 L9 will be his league record in 15 minutes or so.

Stoke have won 13 out of 67 league games since 1 January 2018.

They pinched a point with a late penalty, though interesting to note that they're now getting around 10k fewer through the gate than us (and we could sell more too if we had the capacity). Chasm.
