The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

newcastles manager is steve bruce.
heaven knows how they've been able to avoid a relegation scrap this year. They are really poor. they will struggle next year.
still not convinced west ham will be any great shakes either.

Three from WBA Palace Brighton Sheffield United Newcastle and Villa to go down for me

Hell of a hit to put United behind.

Ball bouncing out of the box from the corner and he just wraps his instep around it beautifully to bend it into the top corner.

This should be a penalty right? Quite similar to doc’s against Burnley - without the high foot!

It's not even close to being like Doc's imo, he's just got his hand up in front of his face. I do see how the VAR's struggled to give it because they're Tierney and Attwell but it wasn't a hard decision. Terrible penalty though. These are 2 average sides, shows how bad Serie A is that this Inter side finished 2nd.

Inter through. Awful second goal for Getafe to concede.

Glad that's over.

AAAAAAYYYYYY AAAAAAYYYYYY AAAAAAYYY

Almost did a MARKakaJIM and watched it with the sound off.

As i said in the other thread it was embarrassing to watch. Don't think a minute went by in the game where at least 1 player didn't throw themselves to the floor. Looks likely to be Leverkusen for Inter up next and i think they could struggle.

Leverkusen are decent but they do play completely wide open. They can be picked off, you could see that Lukaku goal from tonight happening again.

Not sure what the situation is with Havertz, I assume he's still playing for now.

Yeah can't argue with that but i should imagine Havertz will play and he will still give 100%. Just feel like him, Diaby, Volland etc could also cause Inter a ton of trouble at the back.

The official line is that he's '100% committed to Leverkusen'. So he'll play until he's sold.

I know results can change and I know they are in the senior competition, but if you had told me four years ago that in the 2019-2020 season Wolves would be in Europe longer than Real Madrid and Juventus I would have had you sectioned.

How the fuck is that a penalty for juve, memphis fid nothing wrong

Madrid with Olympiakos-style passing at the back to give City the lead, but unlike us they cannot hold onto it.

Both penalties in that game have been shocking decisions. As bad as any decisions i've seen all season.

Yeah..that is truly shocking..maybe he knew he made a mistake and wanted to make it even again..only thing i can think of..shocking nonetheless

If City butcher this they’ll only have themselves to blame pretty much had control of most the game.
