Kane fucking stood still and wait for the defender to slide into him. It's a penalty but Kane bought it

Christen Eriksen has been great for spurs, a really intelligent footballer

I despise Harry Kane. The constant diving, the attempts to ref the game, the way he tries to get opponents red cards. England captain and obviously if he scores for us I'll celebrate, but he's a horrible individual

I'm not really a hater but starting to severely dislike Spurs, they seem to get away with loads of niggly fouls but get every little nudge

I hate these tiny marginal decisions with technology they can't guarantee is 100% accurate. It's a perfectly good goal, even if his shoulder does happen to be leaning a couple of inches ahead of the defenders feet. Utter shite.

I agree with Dan about the feet, and so does Jamie Redknapp as he just made the same good point (had to pick myself up). The offside rule should move away from "any part of the body you can score with" to just the feet. Which I think would solve the majority of these fractional decisions and give the benefit of the doubt back to the attacker.

Kane checked back and got his leg wiped out. Intelligent play for me. Nailed on pen.

Not sure Jose is going to get the best out of Ndombele, who is a fabulous player. I'd love him, or a player in that mould, here.

He looks a bit Seyi for my liking :icon_lol:

Obviously way better on the ball (or Spurs have players that are intelligent enough to read his passes) but a complete fanny.

Just seems to be able to get out of any tight situation for me. Always wanting to play forwards. Don't think you play him as the deepest player which is what Spurs did today.

Garbo piece of play by Taylor gifts United a goal.

I was thinking the same thing. A bit of a tart in the tackle. Neves is a far better ball player and a far tougher individual. Ndombele is going to be a good player but nowhere near Neves.

On VAR and offside, I said a long time ago it should just be feet which would rule out the lean argument and it should also be the same as cricket with the umpires decision. If it's too close you go with the decision on the pitch.

This shouldn't be hard and it isn't VAR that's unfit for purpose it's Mike Dean and the PGMOL. I have a tin hat theory in that the PGMOL see VAR as a threat to them and their egos and they are designing it to fail and see it in the bin forever.

I hope you are correct and I hope they succeed....in reality though it is just being run by idiots and they think they are doing a top notch job.

Rangers are lucky they don't have VAR. Celtic take a penalty and it's saved and cleared, identical to Patricio against Man City. The Rangers player who cleared it afterwards was just encroaching into the box when it was taken though. Not even been mentioned.

Celtic also lucky VAR not being used as they score via a hand ball

And now Celtic equalise with a shot that hits the arm of another Celtic player and deflects in.

Edit - Wot Kenneth said.

Rangers leading again. Been the better team really. Gerrard and Beale have got them well organised.
