Look at the history of why the rule was created. Pukki has been penalised for leaning slightly further forward.

Commentary just said the same thing, how many goals by the likes of Shearer, Owen, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, van Nistelrooj and Henry would have been ruled offside?

Bully would probably have lost half of his goals to it if they'd have been in the top flight.

This basically the end of the striker who played on the shoulder of the last defender. You’re punishing foot sizes, height or leans.
The game is inconsistent you can be offside and not given which leads to a corner which leads to a goal .

That or change the offside rule to there has to be clear daylight between defender and attacker (guess you'd get same issue anyway). Just not what we are witnessing right now.

I say feet only. You largely play football with your feet. So you're offside there - as say, Cutrone was vs Southampton, unfortunate as it was - ok.

The rest - no.

VAR worked well in the World Cup. They should look at that and base the Premier League on that system next year (including refs looking at the monitor in the ground).

All the managers need to protest at the end of the season until it is sorted.

Agreed the technology just isn't there for these decisions to be 100% accurate .The camera angle on the Pukki one surely makes it nigh impossible to judge if his shoulder was offside or not too.

There was a Sterling one earlier this season where he was moving at full speed, and was therefore a pixelated mess on the still. Yet they still gave him offside.

Fair enough. I am quite sweary as all know but will try and keep it calmer! I still hate every atom of this system though.
