To be fair what he actually said was they would try and do 1 or 2 before Jan he didn’t say to expect. Nothing wrong with that imo, we all should know transfers can become complicated by all sorts.

Right, punt the deliverables as far into the future as you can in week one so they don’t come back to haunt you quickly. You’ll struggle to do that later on, so manage expectations now when you can. Doing otherwise is completely naive. Don’t see why that logic doesn’t apply here.

That’s fair but again i would say it depends how you want to look at yourself. If he didn’t say anything people would be moaning that he hadn’t and that we hadn’t signed anyone else. He mentions we’re working on deals which is good to see as we need to do some quickly and he’s wrong because we haven’t got any other deals done.

For me we should all be capable of understanding what he said rather than getting what he said wrong and that he expected anything when he never said it.

Personally I was happy we got Cunha in so quickly. But then Hobbs raised that bar, somewhat unnecessarily from his point of view.
