Nah I think he's written it knowing he's off on holiday, just in case we go and sign him while he's away, and he can just post it from his pool lounger.

I kind of doubt it (we're not that lucky), but GFFH did imply weeks ago now that we'd already met Brizzle's 25m asking price (I think our second bid had just been reported around this time but the journos had that one lower than 25m).

I know there are some NFL and Around the NFL podcast fans here, but Sessler once told a story of how he had a summer task of writing up a bunch of obituaries for the entirely still living!

I presume this is PTS equivalent of that and the was instructed to write it as a condition of his retainer etc.

Obituaries for public figures are generally drafted years in advance (once they've got to a certain age or if their life is deemed to be possibly due to end soon). Then it just gets edited over time as necessary and the end bit popped on last of all.

Not uncommon to see an obituary published and the paper puts a note at the end that the author themselves has since passed away after writing it.

Guarantee you that every national paper has one ready to go for King Charles, Tony Blair, Paul McCartney, etc etc.

I still think Scott will end up here - the fee probably isnt the issue, the way it is structured is (according to something I heard).
