Do we need a CM? I mean you always want to improve but we already have four good ones for either two or three spots (plus a kid who's oddly getting gametime despite obviously not being ready), we have much greater priorities.

We need a technical more attack minded central midfielder for now and definitely for next season. Moutinho did it on Saturday and while his assist makes up for everything else on the whole he was genuinely as bad as i’ve ever seen him apart from that. I think he’s been pretty poor in most games, legs aren’t there anymore, too passive/negative on the ball and a massive part of the horseshoe of doom.

Thing is we have 22 games left (21 by the time any new signings can play), we only have a finite amount of money (we did actually spend quite a bit in the summer) and we have to live in the here and now. Is Joao a long term solution, obviously not, but I wouldn't want to prioritise replacing him and then we end up playing Adama and/or Guedes regularly (just to pick one of the many positions where we desperately need improvements). Of course if we can do everything all at once then fantastic. I'm not sure you can though.

Right now it's what can we do to make sure we finish 17th or higher, not a lot else matters.

Oh yeah i think there’s more pressing issues, i think Bouba, Nunes and Neves could work and i still think either of those 2 with Cunha/Podence as a 10 is something we could do against some sides but if someone becomes available we should do it and not end up with a possible Enzo situation again.

This could be McKennie, as well (although not as a straight 10 if that's what you mean).

If Moutinho is going to continue at this level we need to sit him deeper a la Xabi Alonso... But we already have Ruben doing something like that at the moment. We (seem to) ask Joao to cover a lot of ground laterally. He's just too old for it, as you say.

McKennie is certainly not a 10 or creative midfielder. He's not a creative type at all. Traore has a much higher ceiling as that b2b player.

Doesn’t have to be a straight 10. Not really having McKennie though, seems a bit of a nothing footballer to me especially what i’ve seen in Serie A this season, i know Juve have been poor but he doesn’t win the ball back that much and doesn’t create, he’s got legs but Nunes and Bouba have those and are better options imo.

2) Given the general demographic on this place I highly doubt you'll get many creaming their pants knowing that we'll be signing player X a few days before he actually signs. I mean you do get the odd few who get inexplicably excited about getting some early 'ITK' information like @Lycan @Johnny75 and @darlowolf64 but on the whole nobody on here is going to give a fuck about rehashed news being dressed up as something it isn't.

3) Do you actually get a buzz out of pretending to be 'ITK' or something? If you do then maybe post something that resembles 'ITK' information?
