It was his cross for Hodge, which was pinpoint to be fair to him
Best cross of the night, not sure how Hodge missed it, he had a 5 minute purple patch when him and Podence swapped sides, nowhere near enough unfortunately.

Few points, just cos someone I Twitter said Guedes is leaving does not mean he is
Plenty of foreign players have taken a while to get up to speed it's the nature of the premier League
This mythical 20 goal a season striker would struggle to score in a team that does not create many chances. We don't it's not like we have players missing hosts of clear chances we don't. Shove lineker at his peak in this team and he would not be guaranteed goals.
20+ goals a season Strikers in the top flights anywhere will command massive fees, there are not that many around.

Cunha is currently in Compton, so hopefully he can play 1st game after the new year, maybe he has been bought to create chances rather than score them

Spurs fans reckon Spence goes out on loan, if we were still stuck with 3 at the back I’d be interested but not sure he can play right back

Oh man, the vibes in this thread got wild overnight didn’t they

I think people give Guedes too much credit, it's not just a case of not trying (he doesn't try, except vs Brighton), it's that he regularly does stuff that you wouldn't have off your mate down the park. Random touches that go 10 yards, running straight into defenders, passing the ball straight out of play, hiding behind defenders, pathetic shooting and crossing most of the time. Look at the state of that bloody free kick on Tuesday! He's a rubbish footballer, his entire career is one big long con.

Having seen him play for Portugal this comes as no surprise to me, used to make me rage that he'd play ahead of Jota. We were linked to him year after year after year and I never wanted him, he is shit.

If his career is a con...fair play to dragging out a world record in long cons
It happens, doesn't it.

I give you Chelsea and Manchester City's Scott Sinclair.

Sinclair was actually good for that little bit at Swansea wasn't he? Around the time Michu sold his soul to Lucy for that ridiculous fluke season he had?

He was ok. But miles below the level of say, Zaha at Palace, and I don't see City swooping for him any time soon.

Tbf the move to City did always seem a weird one. Like Jack Rodwell levels of out of place.

I wonder how much we'd lose on that deal?
A lot less than if we keep him for a couple of years. Spanish observers will still have his relatively good season last year at the forefront of their memories.

Where are we with foreign players numbers now. I'm assuming some are going to have to go out to make room for these incomings?

Anything that includes the name Gabby Agbonlahor in the first sentence is about as worth reading as an article written by Piers Morgan or Richard Littlejohn.
