I don't think so, if he was a free agent at the start of the last window I think we could have registered him before the start of the next window.

I suppose Guedes could* be that type of wide attacker. 40m if we go down is going to look insane

Hopes to be back in training at the end of January, plus a few weeks to get back up to speed.

“I don’t know how long but I hope he is fit as soon as possible because he is a very good player and very important player for us. I think now he has to wait,” said Lopetegui. “We have to wait for him because he has had surgery and I think maybe one month more before he starts working.”

Lopetegui won’t be in a rush to restore Neto to his starting line-up when the winger returns. Wolves have numerous options in wide areas and Neto - Wolves’ player of the year in 2020/21 - must prove his fitness before Lopetegui considers him for selection.

Lopetegui added: “When you are out for three months, then you have to work for maybe one month more to be fit.”
