The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Choosing some cheeses for the christmas table. Lovely bit of Rocquefort, some excellent crumbly Cheshire, a nice sweaty brie, extra mature cheddar, and some absolutely wonderful comte.

Lovely

Nothing blue?

Nevermind. Missed the Rocquefort.

Mum works for Wyke Farms so we get an absolutely colossal amount of cheese at Christmas, all for free! Can't wait for the extra special reserve cheddar that they dish out every year. Pisses on any cheddar I've ever had.

Just had a sausage, egg & brown sauce sandwich from the local greasy spoon - fantastic :)

Currently getting into the xmas spirit by gorging myself on Lekuchen and Pfeffernusse. So moreish.

One round of cheese on toast with beans on the top and a fried egg on top of the beans and a dash of brown sauce.

Cottage pie tonight instead of my usual blow ya blox off chilli.

Using up leftovers that are in the fridge rather than throwing stuff away, and so tonight it's bacon, egg and mushroom sarnies.

A rare treat tonight of roast beef, yorkie puds, roasties and veg. Awesome. I'm now destroying a tub of Celebrations.

Great food day today.
For a singular lunch I'm finishing off leftover Lamb Lal Mas, a beautifully spiced hot curry, after which I'll be preparing a slow (4 hour) roasted leg of lamb with slivers of garlic and tufts of sage pushed into the thing all the way round.
You'll not need a knife to eat that, it'll just fall off the bone if you look at it...

Shame we couldn't get together in blighty (again!!) but I know it was a tough trip for you. Glad you are back with the comforts of home.
