I for one am shocked that didn't work out.
 
I don't put gravy granules on steak!

I have proper gravy then sprinkle a little bit of Oxo cube over the chips.
 
What are you referring to?

The sprinkling of granules on a roast dinner. Apart from a globby blobby mess that looked like a bad period, it was far far too salty. Maybe I over did the sprinkle!

What!? Gravy granules on a roast sounds weird.
 
Not to me. It's an intense gravy/oxo taste explosion.
 
Steak, chips, onion rings, mushrooms, fried onions on top of the steak, garden peas. Gravy over the lot, half an Oxo sprinkled over to melt into the gravy and give a nice strong kick. Salt and vinegar on the chips, plenty of pepper on the steak.

That was what Bear recommended. It is still weird though. Mind you, he drinks his tea with 3 sugars in so it's probably fucked his taste buds!
 
The sheer amount of extraneous liquid. Gravy mixing with vinegar.

My mistake Bear. For the last couple of months I've been wrongly thinking that you put oxo on the steak. Fortunately its just the chips.
 
I am going for the Bearnaise. King of Sauces. Make up a nice little Hollandaise and then add the tarragon, shallot, white wine vinegar reduction. Om nom nom. Nice and thick like double cream on a full-fat diet.

I take that back, he did say oxo cube. But he's only using half a cube, just imagine what a taste explosion it would be using a WHOLE cube!! :)
