The hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Wolves 2-2 Arsenal verdict thread.

He's on another planet with that.

We have won ONE game all season in the league and the fans pay eye bleeding amounts at the moment. It's a disgrace. They're lucky anyone turns up (and I don't right now, but I will next season now Half Pint has gone) - less still cheer regardless.

We have (and had, two have just gone) numerous players who just don't try when they don't fancy it. Including the wanker in goal who was apparently being targeted. Well maybe if he hadn't had a ludicrous run earlier in the season of saving literally 0 shots week after week and didn't pick fights with the crowd (which he has done multiple times) people wouldn't have a go?

Anyway, this detracts from my main point, which is fuck Mikel Arteta and his dismal football.

The “fans” booed the team off at half time, cheered when Jackson was subbed…both reactions were deserved. Same fans cry when they get a bit of criticism back.

With the exception of a fine goal from Hugo and a late winner, that was up there with some of the worst games at Molineux this season.

Bellegarde MoM but it was a low bar.

We're on page 4 and Sa hasn't been seen yet, so I'll start.
I thought he had a poor game, especially the 2nd goal.
If he'd had stood up it would have hit him in the chest.
My 12 year old daughter who plays water polo said, 'he has gloves on if he thought it was going to hit his face'
What a fucking awful attempt to stop a shot!
And with the 1st goal, with Rice's center coming in, I know Mane went to sleep but when Saka nodded that Sa, should have been out to it, not stood on his fucking line, gesticulating because it went through his legs!!
Fucking hopeless display of goalkeeping!
4/10.
Maybe a 3.

From the BBC report.

Edozie's dream leveller - the teenager's first appearance in senior football marked by a first goal even if Calafiori played his part - epitomised Wolves' spirit.

Nowhere does it mention that he was on the line trying to keep out a sweetly struck shot. One bit mentions being deflected off Calafiori as if it wouldn’t have gone in otherwise.

Back to the game, having slated Armstrong, he at least showed glimpses of being a footballer in the second half. I thought that Andre was the one driving us forwards and fighting in the middle of the park to start the recovery.

What did RE say specifically?
… I hope everyone has a little bit of realism and understands what we’re up against … we were never going to roll Arsenal over easily … especially when you go 1-0 down early on … I’d have liked a little bit more backing at that point if I’m being honest …

This would obviously have incurred a monetary cost on the club; haven't they committed fraud by doing this? Guess it would depend on what the T&C was.
It's more how tone deaf the club are.

Bending over for pricks like this (whoever they support, it's irrelevant) and fucking over working class people who've been following us up and down the country for decades.

Can't argue with that.

The 1st goal is difficult for a keeper. As Rice receives the ball Sa is in a decent position for if its a shot or a cross. The cross is more difficult to deal with due to its low flight and pace being so slow/floated and then it has a good amount of bend on it. By the time it gets to Saka look how low it is. Its not an easy ball to come for despite his starting point and his position is mostly okay on it to still face the chance. Saka is fortunate that he gets the contact the does as of its either side I think most keepers would prefer that than trying to collapse or save something so close to you.

The absolute least I expect from my team is effort and pride in the shirt. In the first half, there were players who weren't giving it their all, just loping around the pitch waiting for it to end. I'm not having that, it's unacceptable at ANY level of the game, wholly unprofessional and supporters have had enough of it. So although I'm not going to be quite as critical as others have been at Edwards' comments, saying nothing at all would have been wiser.

There weren't many positive performances out there but a word on Jackson Tchatchoua - holy hell he's bad. I would honestly rather play Doherty than this absolute fraud of a footballer. I'd give him away for free tomorrow.

Fortunately, the 2nd was a lot better. There's still next to no quality whatsoever but if you actually look like you want to play for Wolves, that's an improvement on that first half.

I'm not going to celebrate finally reaching double figures point wise when it's fucking mid FEBRUARY but I am going to celebrate taking points off the arrogant tools who were time wasting to the max against one of the worst sides that's ever played in the Premier League. Fuck off, Arsenal - I hope they blow it spectacularly. Would be just as amusing to see them drop points against a hapless Spurs side.

If one game ever demonstrated why Arteta and Arsenal are serial runners up that was it. They went ahead within 5 minutes and were in complete control against a team that could barely get out of their own half. Wolves improved with the introduction of Tolu and huffed and puffed at start of the second half without threatening their goal and then they get a second. At that point they thought game over but we scored a goal out of nowhere and then Arsenal decided to sit back. At one point they had possession near the halfway line and there were just two players in attacking positions. Risky game to play when you’re clearly the better team but rather than prove that they spent the last 15 minutes fouling and time wasting and in the end got exactly what most of the footballing world wanted. So funny that Trossard went down at the start of added time and 2:30 passed with no action and that despite us scoring the ref added just two minutes extra, about the only thing he did for us all night.

It can't be understated how wrong Redwards got that game from the start, Tolu is no saviour nor is he a particularly good player but to set up like that without a target man or any plan to retain the ball whatsoever is madness. He was literally saved by Angel Gomes giving up Hwang style, doubt we will see him again.

Second half was much better the players seemed to have more appetite for the game, I thought JRB did well - he is much more suited to that deeper position. After despairing with AA in the first half I also thought he was much better.

The least said about Jackson the better, he's just dreadful - like laughable awful. I'd rather play Doc ffs.

The difference when Rodrigo replaces Tchatchoua is nuts. It's like a cheat code. There was a point in the 2nd half when players just stopped passing to him, and Arsenal were leaving him in space.

I think it was the penalty dive for Arsenal where Andre passed him the ball and then he tripped over it 3x and lost the ball on the edge of our area. Andre was visibly fuming. All the players know he’s dreadful and barely pass to him, why is he still getting picked?

Arsenal didn’t create a lot once they went 1-0 up yep lots of possession and territory but not a hat full of chances.
On Jackson if he was at a lower league club I’d have some real sympathy but he’s probably earning very well here and enough to set him up for life regardless of what happens afterwards.
He’s playing probably 2-3 levels above where he should be.
