The Goggle Box Thread

Different take. That it is so relentless, that it goes beyond the big boom and the expected initial aftermath, but to just how completely fucked everything is just takes it to a whole other level of impact.

I was intruiged after it was mentioned on here but after reading a load of replies in a Reddit thread I gave it a miss

I struggle to sleep some nights as it is even if I go to bed feeling like there's not much on my mind. I think this would wreck me 😂

Fuck me. Fuck me

Went through the last four or five pages to pick something new to watch, and just finished Threads. It's absolutely criminal that that film isn't more widely known. A heartbreaking, harrowing, sickening masterpiece. Should be compulsory viewing at 15. Fucking hell
Yeah I watched it a couple of weeks ago and it's still with me now.

Like nothing else I've seen before.

I'm different. Watched it a few weeks ago, found it quite interesting then went to bed and slept fine and that was it

Just watching the second episode of Lucan, it’s turning into a modern day’ish Jack the Ripper.

Just about to type about this. Not quite finished the first but a fascinating watch. One of the sons of the nanny who was murdered, who didn’t find out who is mother was until later in life, is investigating Lucan with a journalist.

It’s become an obsession with him, quite sad really.

The main point was to demonstrate that nuclear weapons are not simply a big bang, and everything returns to normality soon after.

Watching the 2nd series of Sherwood this week and enjoying it more than series 1. Story revolves around killings and revenge killings amongst families

Yeah, it's not too bad.

I'm currently watching the Day of the Jackal on Sky Atlantic (binge watched the first 5 episodes) and it's pretty good with Eddie Redmayne.

I'm intrigued by that. I loved the film with Edward Fox so might have to give it a go.

In my journey of discovery of just how far behind the release schedule for the rest of the globe SBS is, I have happily fallen upon series one of the Old Man. Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow are superb in it.

Just watching the final episode of Paris Has Fallen. Entertaining, but
