The Goggle Box Thread

I've never understood the love-in for this. I probably don't buy into it because of James Corden...
It's the nature of 'art' isn't it, some will like it some will hate it. It's like a lot of music fans will think Wham were crap, others will think they were great, fun, pop music.

Not a fan of Corden at all but love G&S.

Maybe Ruth Jones just beats all the cuntiness out of him when they work together.
Think that's a fair point. Corden probably bought into the hype following the success of G & S and turned into a twat, his writing is still pretty good though. Watched the History Boys a few weeks ago and he was OK in that early in his career.

Don't mind G and S generally but the Christmas one was poor. Badly written and pretty much no comedy at all.

Watched The Serial Killers Wife over the weekend. Good 4 parter but as with many of these dramas the ending was a bit silly but seems to have been left open for a 2nd series

Very late to the party here, but binged Ted Lasso over the last week and it's really good / much better than I expected.
I really liked it, and don’t know many others that have watched it. Even made a visit to Richmond on the back of it!

Watched the Christmas Gavin and Stacey, enjoyed it, tied up the loose ends that needed doing, the girl that played Sonia is no doubt going to get grief for playing a right nasty cow ( great writing for her part though)
And the fishing trip, well….

Started to watch the Senna thing on Netflix.

Some outstanding location choices for the Forumla Ford and F3 races.
Norfolk with the backdrop of mountains

I thought the fishing trip was done perfectly.

I thought it was all done really nicely tbh. Sort of felt those who were fans from the off were willing a fitting final episode and it seemed to be gauged just right. Probably more sentimentality than humour this time, (although G+S walking in on Pete knobbing Dawn was a proper LOL classic), and with a little bit of cheesiness thrown in for good measure too, just ended the whole thing perfectly.

Stourport to Wolverhampton. Canal boat diaries. U& Yesterday channel 161. On now. 👍
