The Goggle Box Thread

New episode of True Detective tonight, last week’s was a bit shit compared to the first two. Hope it picks up again.

Just finished Platform 7 on ITVX, really enjoyed it, a good thriller with Ghost vibes about it

Think I'll have to invest in some new equipment, ITVx is unwatchable in our house due to freezing, glitches etc.

Started The Brothers Sun on Netflix last night. Great fight sequences, silly/outlandish story and a decent air of humour to it all.

The perfect antidote to the dreadful Fool Me Once which were plodding ourselves through at the moment.

Seem to remember someone on here recommending an Irish crime series, but I can't find it - does anyone know what it might have been?

Flew threw this on the flight to Tenerife and back, great series.

Her voice is amazing. It was powerful when she was young, but it's really matured, I didn't recognise it.
But yeah, I was aware she'd messed with her face a bit...

I'm confused by this: Shogun is one book by James Clavell?
Shogun is the first part of the Asian Saga series by James Clavell. This is their order;
  • 1 Shogun (1975)
  • 2 Tai-Pan (1966)
  • 3 Gai-jin (1993)
  • 4 King Rat (1962)
  • 5 Noble House (1981)
  • 6 Whirlwind (1986)
  • 7 Escape (1995)

Ah, got you. I wouldn't have really linked them as they are all so different! I've read Tai-Pan, King Rat and Noble House, so should have realised!
