Reminds me of quite a few years ago when my Nephew was over for a visit from Canada, their Son was about 10/11,I put the Simpsons on the TV for him to watch, he was sitting all wide eyed watching when his Mom said, “sorry but he’s not allowed to watch this”.I went to school with kids who weren't allowed to watch Grange Hill, their parents thought it was too edgey for them. Some of the storylines from the start until Zammo were quite hard hitting, racism, drugs, bullying, abuse in the home, death, but not contextually in a sanitised way.
I think the Gonch, Ziggy, Imelda year were my favourite as they were the same age as me although I watched it from the start until I went to Poly.
