The Goggle Box Thread

Watched half an hour of Fubar on Netflix, I turned it off, unsubscribed to Netflix and smashed the TV up with a baseball bat...

The first line is enough to make me smash my TV up.
 
Just seen an advert for this. Thought I’d seen it all. Guess not.

“New Channel 4 programme #SaveOurSperm sees three celebs aim to increase their sperm count in ten weeks”
 
Popmaster on Channel 4 was ace, God knows why the BBC never made it a TV format and now they've lost it with Ken Bruce leaving.

I think I'd have made the final in 2 of the 5 shows, some of the people on there have insane, where the hell did you pull that from knowledge though. Maybe I understand a bit now what it's like for you lot talking to me about obscure Wolves stuff from the 90s :D
 
I've been meaning to watch that but keep forgetting.

A weird but highly entertaining documentary about a weird eccentric guy from the US who collected and sold Pez dispensers and went over to Europe where they were made, to keep his fix going.

No, me neither....!! But it has such an amusing way of telling the story using dramatic reconstructions using the main protagonist who plays himself. He's a complete OCD crazy guy but such a great character.

A very entertaining watch.

Currently on a Netflix docu watch and loved this.

The guy is brilliant and a big fan of the main man from Pez Austria who knew him personally but if anything dodgy was going on...never met him.
 
Gallows Pole on iPlayer. Superb 3 parter from Shame Meadows.

I stumbled across this. Watched the lot as it was so compelling and, I’m ashamed to say, learned a hec of a lot about what I guess really did dominate the news when I was a kid but I never bothered to educate myself on fully.
 
Been binging The Sinner on Netflix, watched the first season when it came out but never carried on with it. It’s pretty good albeit a little weird in places. Carrie Coon was excellent in season two.

Not seen this one yet. I'm sure there is a joke about using salad cream in the sandwiches to be had somewhere but I wouldn't stoop so low.

It's a good series. One is the best, two excellent, three is weird but four is a good finish.

Pullman is brilliant.

Yeah Pullman is really good, I don’t usually like him but he nails this. I’m getting close to finishing three, it really is a bit fucked up.
