The Goggle Box Thread

If you’re a TNG and DS9 fan Picard just gets better and better.
Yes I'm really enjoying it now. The first episode was a bit dodgy as it set it all up, and Amanda Plummer was a really weird casting choice. Particularly her look.

New series of race across the world is just Canada. It’s hardly doing what it says on the tin is it.
Never watched this before but we sat down and watched the frist episode as a family on Sunday and everyone enjoyed it, even the kids. Will definitely be watching the rest of the series!

Yeah it's a favourite of ours, haven't started watching it yet, be interested in how it works as a 'race across a country' rather than the world, albeit a fucking huge country

Series 1 was absolutely superb. And the close finish in series 2 made it compelling.

Just watched the first episode of the new Great Expectations, Pip talks like my 14 yr old Granddaughter who calls her Dad “Bro”, init!

Finished White Lotus series 1 and still not sure what I make of it. Was waiting for a twist (watched it without having a clue what it was about) and there was a slight one but it's just a bunch a rich people at a fancy hotel.

I enjoyed both Series 1 & 2. Armond is a great character in Series 1.

On the recommendation of Mr Deutsch I have just binged watched A Town Called Malice.

Enjoyable sweary romp and did enjoy how they fitted in the 80's soundtrack in to parts of the show, Sneaky Paul Weller appearance early on as well

Now giving Succession a go, steady start and already of a fan of the character played by the Culkin lad.

A town called Malice was ok. I wouldn't rush to watch S2 (if there will be one) though.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Chronologically it's 80s references all over the shop though which triggers me

Anyone discovering Charles Dickens for the first time through the BBC`s latest offering, are going to be mightily disappointed if they decide to investigate his work further by purchasing a few tomes.

Said the same to my missus last night. This version is quite good fun.
Never got on with Dickens, hated it at school, tried again in my 20s, still thought it was crap, tried a dew years ago and found it just too much like hard work. Might try it again when I'm in my 70s.

I had the same problem with Shakespeare, just not bright enough I guess. Got on o.k. with Dickens though.

Maybe I'll have another go with Great Expectations when I've finished my current reading.
