The Goggle Box Thread

@Langers have you seen 'Our flag means death'?

Pirating mirth from the 'What we do in the shadows' writers.
Yeah watched a few as I love Taika Waititi and he's the best thing in it!

It's okay - a bit hit and miss but I'll persevere - I bloody love pirates.

He should stick to acting and knock the directing on the head, he's fucking diabolical at it.
He's ok as long as he's told to reign the zaniness in. Same with his directing.

I've never seen him in anything as an actor I don't think. But I did try watching Thor Love and Thunder and it's the only Marvel movie I've turned off before the end, it was fucking excruciatingly wank.

I've seen him in a few minor roles acting. His best one was as an imaginary Hitler in his film JoJo Rabbit (which was a fantastic film).

BBC showing Detectorists again (also iplayer) forgotten how much I enjoyed it,
Venerable Bede?......full o shit.

Almost got through Ghosts (v v good...) having missed it first time round. Might have to do Detectorists next.

You what??

Hunt For the Wilderpeople? Thor: Ragnorok? Jojo Rabbit? The season 1 finale of The Mandalorian? Flight of the Conchords?

The vast majority of the stuff he writes and directs is excellent. I wasn't that fussed with the last Thor film but Ragnarok is widely considered to be the best MCU film yet

Personally I love his output - Thor: Love and Thunder is probably the only time I've felt a bit let down by him.

Always been a fan.

Ragnarok is great stuff, but Avengers: Infinity War is the best MCU in my opinion. That and X-Men days of future past.

Just stuck the snooker on, haven't watched any of the tournament so far - has the main angle been so weird all week?! It's proper fucking with my chi, I thought my aspect ratio was wrong in the telly at first

It's a touch lower than some other tournaments yeah. But not unusual.

Finally, the medium that actually fits that story. 😉
