The Football News Thread 2025/26

Carrick actually has done a decent job in his managerial career and was a highly respected player who clearly understood the game.

Yes at the moment he has just put square pegs in square holes and the players have improved because they hated the other guy.

But when you have one of the better teams in the league you don’t actually have to do too much… But it’s much easier for him to play his Middlesbrough style with Bruno, Cunha, Mbuemo, Diallo, Casemiro and Mainoo. Defence is pretty solid and keeper doesn’t throw them in. They’ve got limited depth mind, but that first XI can beat anyone.

Ronnie apparently on strike in Saudi as he is not happy that his club is not getting the same level of transfer funds as others in the group.

Might be because they spend £500k a day on you squire.

Ronnie?

Silly me - Ronaldo

If they went down, it would be a very nice end to a thoroughly awful season.

I keep thinking that they must surely worm their way out of trouble, but they really are TERRIBLE. Sadly, so are Blackburn and Oxford but I'm hoping Blackburn get a new manager bounce.

Don't forget Leicester could be getting a 6-10 point deduction
