We don't know that yet, do we?

Obviously if anyone at the club knew then that changes things significantly in regards to the shirt gesture.
We know they knew he was arrested in November 2020

Wasn't aware of that TT, thanks.

I don't think anyone will be surprised to find that I have no sympathy in my heart for rapists, assaulters, or anyone who enables that behavior knowingly.

I'm not sure if that is the fact, quite a few people have pointed out on twitter the description matches Mendy's situation (player from Manchester in their 20's when Greenwood was only 19), although I may have missed some confirmation elsewhere?

Help me out here. Ive never quite understood when football commentators say '2-0 is such a dangerous score at this stage'.. Ok lets not go 2-0 up Bruno leave it at 1-0 until near the end when we can go yeah 2-0 up or have an 89th minute equaliser against us..

Perceived false sense of security I guess, I'm sure statistically most teams who go 2-0 up go onto win though.

Commentators also probably trying to inject a bit of tension to keep people watching rather than saying "put a fork in this one, it's done".

A big enough lead to feel safe and get complacent but not big enough to be insurmountable, I think is the idea behind that particular adage.

Who was the Albion boss that said 3-0 is a dangerous score after they blew a game that had them 3 up at HT

I believe Bet365 pay out if the team you've backed to win goes 2 up.

First time I remember hearing the expression was the 1983 FA cup final replay. Comms said going in at 3-0 at halftime killed the game whereas 2-0 left a chance. Our game against Leicester suggests otherwise!
