There's an angle I hadn't thought about before. The current players are nearly all shit but we know as well as anyone that if you're organised and put loads of effort in then that can be enough to stay up. However, now...why are any of these players going to give a fuck, you know that (ASM aside) you have no realistic future at the club. They absolutely do need a decent number of points on the board come January or it limits even further the scope of who you can sign.
I think players would still try and perform if they're guaranteed to be leaving sooner than later, as they will want decent moves away.

If anything it could motivate them more. If they play well they get a decent move, or a good wage increase to stay.

I guess a notable difference between Fosun and the new Newcastle owners, is that the Newcastle owners will be actively involved in the way the Saudi is run, Fosun aren't dictating how China is run.

Of course not. It’s like being surprised that Tesco have minimal input in how this country is run.

The arms length part of the Newcastle deal is an absolute joke.

😡I see you Tony, trying to draw me out with what you said about Busquets!!

Varane out for a few weeks and Maguire is also injured. Worrying times for Ole.

There's definitely a lot of 'sous le maillot' going on there.

Needs to borrow Clarence Seedorf's shorts.

Not really news but there is an excellent article on the BBC website about Laurie Cunningham. I know he played for our dear friends but it is a very interesting read.
