They are taking our beautiful game even further away from us. All the foreign money men, who dont give a fuck for the average football fan. Same as the Premier League really, yes the grounds have improved (they had to ) ,but we now have foreign owners, foreign managers and foreign players. The English game is no more, and that is the reason we will never win anything ever again in international football. A very sad day for football.

I don't mind who owns us or plays for us in terms of where the come from (provided they understand what football is about) , that's a bit irrelevant for me.

The dream in football is that if you win enough you can get to the top - this takes that away. It means losing will have no consequences.

I could almost accept a super League with promotion into it and relegation from it, but not a closed shop - that goes against everything.

You can draw a parallel with this and the Premier League darts. On paper, it's a good idea. The best players in the world playing each other regularly, you've got to be 100% on top of your game constantly to win out, the quality should be the pinnacle of the game.

In practice, it's a dispiriting slog for weeks, loads of the games mean nothing, the players themselves don't look bothered half the time, there's next to no excitement in it all, the quality isn't all that and it's got next to no prestige compared to the proper majors. Even as a big darts fan, I barely watch it. Give me a proper tournament though and I'm all over it.

The idiots in charge will look at both legs of PSG vs Bayern and think "wow, why don't we have that every week". But it doesn't work like that.

Also, at least the Premier League started with the incumbent clubs from the previous season. Fine, we can all accept that Man U, Juventus and RM are elite clubs, but a chunk of the rest aren't in there for fair sporting reasons

"For this reason, SLCo (Super League Company) has filed a motion before the relevant courts in order to ensure the seamless establishment and operation of the Competition in accordance with applicable laws.
"It is our duty, as SLCos board members, to ensure that all reasonable actions available to protect the interests of the Competition and our stakeholders are duly taken, given the irreparable damage that would be suffered if, for any reason, we were deprived of the opportunity to form promptly the Competition and distribute the proceeds of the Grant."

I know there is, quite rightly, a lot of anger about the subject. But I'm not sure I believe all of the people running to say they'd "never watch Wolves again if we were part of it". Firstly, it's easy to say that because 1) we're not and 2) it makes you look good.

But lets be fair. Most of us have the support of our club deeply embedded within us from a young age. You don't spend 20/30/40/50+ years loyally following a football club around the country through thick and thin and then just walk away on a moral decision.

I've been to some absolute shitholes in my time watching us kick around in the lower leagues, because that's what 'support' and 'loyalty' is. I wouldn't change those memories for anything. But if we were part of a breakaway super league, despite what I think is right or wrong, for my love of the club, I would probably continue to watch and support. I appreciate that adds to the problem - but it is what it is. I suspect a lot of top 6 fans (and most of my mates follow Spurs, Liverpool or Man Utd) are angry right now - but if in 2 years time this happens, they'll still watch their clubs games.

As I say, easy to do. I got to a point under Saunders where I refused to watch us until he'd gone, because the club were taking the piss and we know exactly what he is. I just didn't watch us, the only time I've ever voluntarily not gone to games. Not that I was missing anything of value.

I'd like to think people know how much Wolves mean to me, but it's pretty simple to take a stand if you genuinely believe something.

There's no stand to make as it's a fictional scenario. Wolves (thankfully) aren't involved. But bless you for being all moral and angry and that.

It's simple really, end true competition and end the dream, however remote it is to most pro clubs, and football will much poorer for it. Would we even have been looked at by the likes of Fosun if there was not a chance we could break into the top? If this goes through no other teams in their respective leagues would ever have the financial clout to be competitive even at the top end of the Premier League. It would just be the same top 6 every year apart from maybe some lucky club who squeezes in every few years for no real reward.

Depressing really and their timing makes it even worse when fans have been sat at home for over 12 months with the footy being one of the only few things to look forward to watching on the telly. They are also talking about this kicking in next season. If Leicester and West Ham stay in position, it would be fucking criminal that they don't get their chance and the likes of an utter shit Spurs and Arsenal get to lord it up earning 100's of millions. Cunts the lot of them.
