That's because BT Sports are charging stupid prices for the service - then again they paid a stupid price so need to get it back somehow

Yes you wonder how they will manage to get that back, especially with all the free (illegal) options of watching the games available

Id say it's more to do with coronation street being on at same time as well

A referee in Argentina has been shot dead during an amateur match. Apparently, he gave out a red card, and the dismissed player returned to the pitch some time later with a gun.

His name was Cesar Flores. He was 48.

UEFA re-considering how they tender their tv rights for the CL, seems they are not happy that BT Sport figures for games are in the region of 200,00 when with ITV it was 4-5million

I was wondering this the other day. When the CL was on pauper tv we would all chat about the match at work the next day but no one (out of 8 fellas) watches it at all now.

I thought that the Carlisle United player sent off last night must have received the quickest red card ever. I think he was sent off after about 30 seconds, but apparently the record is held by Kevin Pressman at Molineux.

11 seconds wasn't it?

According to the BBC it was 13 seconds.

The Sheffield Wednesday keeper was sent off for handling outside the area after his side's new season was just 13 seconds old.

Wayne Rooney is out for maybe a couple of months, but it could be longer. I wonder if there will be any issue regarding his fitness for the European championships?

Yep, I was there as well Pressman was replaced by what appeared to be a 12 year old, who then proceeded to play a blinder. I was stood with mates who were Wednesday STHs, had my shirt hidden under my coat although the collar was still visable , constantly reminded by a steward to not start any trouble, me, the biggest coward on the planet in the middle of thousands of Yorkshiremen :)

Jose Baxter has been suspended by Sheffield Utd.

Bristol Rovers have been bought by the billionaire Jordanian Al-Qadi family. Close links with Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, he of the perpetual quest to replace Blatter as FIFA president.

Bit of an odd one, but somewhat encouraging for Wolves if even Rovers are seen as a decent prospect to build up by backers with that level of wealth.

(Or it could all turn into another Notts County, who knows.)

Paddy Kenny signed by Warnock for the billionth time.

Bristol is a horrendous city in sporting terms. It's crying out for some success.
