Some very interesting groups there. Group L is a belter. Celtic are boned.

I imagine Tottenham will struggle, especially if they try to rest a few players in favour of PL games.

Just heard on the radio that Chelsea have 33 players out on loan.

Mark Noble has won his appeal against his red card at Anfield last Saturday.

Such a shame to see Craig Whyte and Charles Green charged with fraud over the Rangers affair. Absolutely nothing dodgy going on there.

Latest nonsensical FIFA rankings.

Romania and Wales both ranked above England. I know it is a good Wales side but that is silly, and what the hell have Romania done to jump to 7th?

England have won all their qualifying game as well. How far does it date back?

England have won all their qualifying game as well. How far does it date back?

Supposedly four years but the calculation is complicated and gives a higher emphasis on recent games.

The qualifying record for Wales to reach Brazil 2014 was P10 W3 D1 L6.

Yeah I looked up the Fifa ranking formula and then looked up Wales results and they aren't even anything spectacular? Yes they are doing well this campaign (relative to themselves) but not as well as England anyway!

It must be the four points out of six against Belgium who are ranked 2 that is skewing it.

Romania have the same qualifying record as Wales. Slovakia have won all six (which includes beating Spain) - and they have dropped down to fifteenth.

All very murky and seems to make little sense.

Well done Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have launched extraordinary plans to help aid with the refugee crisis engulfing Europe.

The five-time European champions say they will invest €1 million into specific projects aimed at refugees and will also host youth academy training camps for young immigrants in Germany.

The projects will take place in conjunction with the City of Munich authorities in order to carry out the initiatives.

Good. Although I wish it wasn't restricted for when it leads to a sending off.

De Gea signs a new four year contract at Man United.

If Real Madrid do still want him then they will no doubt have to pay an even bigger fortune now.

Wouldn't have thought he'd sign the deal if he was still interested in going, unless there's a favourable release clause involved, perhaps the collapse of the move pissed him off and he doesn't want to go anymore?
