I suppose the issue is they could have put Villa vs Albion on the Monday night given that would have caused zero issues regarding transport, and had the Man Utd game on the Saturday teatime.

Monday is the prime time slot though. Get a bigger audience for that one.

I was thinking of the football decision rather than the business one but you are correct.

Another reason is that BT Sport have a live premier league game on the Tuesday night before the Quarter Finals. That game?

Villa v Albion

Can understand why they wouldn't want to show the same 2 teams twice in 4 days

Stan Collymore has been binned by BT Sport after starting a campaign to stop showing Rangers games live until they stop doing their "Fenian blood" chants

Very rare you see ex pros standing up for a noble cause especially when the game is still feeding them. Note the lack of support from ex pros when grass roots funding needs greater media coverage.

Hazard (nearly) to Spurs was true

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed he came close to joining Tottenham but was put off by their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Hazard rejected advances from both Manchester clubs before moving to Stamford Bridge from Lille for £32million this summer.
It was seen as a three-way fight but the Belgium forward has spoken for the first time about an attempt by former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp to take him to White Hart Lane to replace Luka Modric.
‘It’s true that Tottenham tempted me because it was a young team which was third in the league,’ Hazard told Tuesday’s France Football.
‘Unfortunately, the end of the season did not go well. They did not reach the Champions League, which tipped the balance.’

I'll partially let that one go then...although the way 'Arry spins the tale it was down to the club not getting the deal over the line rather than him failing to get Spurs in the Champions League.

Redknapp must be bored after quitting his job in a huff, talking shit again. Bet there are no sources whatsoever (other than him) for Courtois and Hazard being anywhere near joining Spurs.

Glad his knees held up long enough to get him to the radio station.

There will be a whole mountain of shit coming out of his mouth on every media outlet he can over the next 6 months, could have, should have, would have crap.

When does the cunt have his op then? Surprised he can manage to get his sorry bullshitting ass to the radio station, I thought he couldn't fucking walk?
Note to surgeons, if you're operating on arry, remove his fucking tongue & do the world an almighty favour will ya?

Lying bastard.

When does the cunt have his op then? .

In about 6 weeks time.

There was a promo pic on Twitter the other week saying he was available for after dinner speeches for the next 8 weeks (at £25k a booking) and then he was unavailable due to the knee op.

Can't make it to the training ground, but can do standy uppy talks for £25k a pop.
I smell bullshit!

I dunno, he could get wheeled in like Ironside. Or Brian Potter.

Joey Barton on his red card on SSN (after punching Huddlestone):

"I've gone in there to calm the situation down... "

:icon_lol: Nice job Joey! Old habits die hard obviously.

Knocking him out cold would certainly have ended the situation!
