Real Madrid are officially under investigation by FIFA for the contracts they’ve given to youngsters.
If found guilty of doing anything illegal they would face the same consequences that Barca are currently paying for - a transfer ban.

David Ginola to announce his intention to stand against Sepp Blatter for President of FIFA...

Three candidates now! Unthinkable just a few months ago.

As soon as you see he's backed by Paddy Power you know it's little more than a publicity stunt. I wonder what pants he'll have on?

Looks like West Ham have their own version of the footie-gifts curse...their sponsor has gone bust, same as their last one did a couple of years ago.

WBA's Senior scouts Stuart White and Tony Spearing have left the club by mutual consent

Harry Redknapp: 'Wright-Phillips refuses to leave QPR because he's on such good wages'.

Are you expecting sympathy Harry?

One more club about to destroyed by the disgraceful floppy chopped wanker

To be fair, Redknapp didn't sign him.

However as I said on the manager thread, he's throwing SWP under the bus to deflect attention from their abysmal results. Did the same with Taarabt earlier in the season.

I can understand SWP not wanting to leave permanently but I can't see why he's refused loan deals.

Presumably - if we are taking H at face value, and why wouldn't we - QPR are not willing to subsidise any of his wages if he goes and plays somewhere else on loan. So if he's on £70k a week (not unfeasible given Citeh signed him when they were throwing money around haphazardly - although shocking signing by Warnock as he was obviously past it even three years ago) and Charlton approach QPR with an offer to pay £10k of it if he goes there for three months, that £10k is all (yes, all) he'll get. When Johnson went on loan to Sheff Wed last season they weren't paying all his wages but equally he wasn't receiving anything from Wolves while he was there. He effectively took a paycut to go and play - an attitude he appears to have changed this year.

To my knowledge DW it doesn't work like that. His wages are his wages wherever he plays, the club owe him that money in some form or other no matter how long or who he's on loan to. They can defer it but they still owe it him.

Redknapp is a prick for saying what he did and SWP and Taraabt could have a case of wrongful dismissal as it has precedent in football. The QPR lawyers will have been working overtime to repair that damage.

I know that's not how it generally works, however that is what appeared to happen with Johnson:

Given that QPR piss money about all over the place I doubt they would be too bothered about saving money on SWP's wages for a few months while he is out on loan for a club not competing directly with them, nor is SWP out due to attitude issues/past misdeeds/being associated with a previous toxic period at the club (unlike Johnson who we clearly wanted to make an example of, and compare him to say, Barton, who is in the team at the moment) so I suspect Redknapp is talking absolute bollocks. There are most likely no serious approaches for him in reality - he mentions Blackburn in his quotes yet they are presently under an embargo due to FFP and are severely restricted in who they can bring in and on what salary - and he is falsely accusing SWP of refusing to move while coining it in. Cue outrage from QPR fans about a lazy player taking the club for a ride rather than going out to play football elsewhere, and deflection from the fact that Redknapp has presided over the worst away form in Premier League history thus far this season.

It sounds very much like his claims about certain players at Spurs asking him to make up excuses not to join up with England, yet he refused to name names and when you joined the dots none of the players under his charge were pulling out of squads at the time he was in charge. Utter fucking bollocks.

BBC reporting that if Harry Redknapp does leave Loftus Road, then Bournemouth will offer him a position on their board.

And Tim Sherwood is being linked as his replacement.

Yes, though I think it is wrong to take about a replacement when there is currently no vacancy at the club. But reading between the lines, there may be very soon.
