A bigger no-no than racist fans/chanting it appears...

One is a whole lot easier to stop than the other, in fairness.

Perhaps, but it appears the punishment for one is way stricter than the other.
& those punishments don't appear (to me at least) to be proportional.

Legia Warsaw have only themselves to blame. That kind of mistake is normally reserved for park football, not the champions league. And yes, people are right. Playing a player who is suspended is bound to get a club in trouble as it is totally unacceptable.

He wasn't actually banned though, not in the conventional sense. His suspension covered the games vs St Patrick's Athletic and they didn't pick him for those games. However as they didn't register him for those games - it was deemed not to be served.

Petty bureaucracy.

Does anyone actually think Celtic will go for the "winner takes all" game requested by Legia Warsaw?

FA looking at playing the Community Shield game abroad.

Nah,I'll be surprised if they don't go with 'there are very clear rules about this and we followed the rules'. :)

I didn't think so but then I read the actual letter.

The Legia chairman was just straight sucking up to Celtic and there's nothing Celtic and their fans like more than being told how special they are. Especially when he was going on about their 'honour' and 'integrity'. There will be a pretty big outcry if Celtic don't at least ask UEFA if they can replay the game, the Celtic board will just have to hope that UEFA don't allow it.

Cuntballs confirmed as Coach at QPR

Mr Carwindow has confirmed QPR will be playing 3 at the back, they'll be ripped apart by the big teams.

They've done some decent business so far to be fair. De Guzman would be another good addition. Lacking a LWB though as Traore is pish.

Wayne Rooney has been named as Manchester United's captain for the coming season.

Franck Ribery retires from international football.
