The Fitness Thread

Lucid lemon.

They look luminous so they're essentially safety equipment...

Nice. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I was very tempted to buy another pair - the pink ones - just because.

But I didn't. Couldn't justify the cost as I definitely don't NEED any more shoes.

I think so, those white ones are definitely better than the ones I had - running down a little bit of trail after some rain wasn't a good plan for them ...
Those are the Evo SL, amazing in straight lines but a nightmare if you even look at a corner. Wouldn't trust them on a trail in a million years.

Just took the Adios pro 4s out for a spin. Wow!

Only had an easy run, but 23s per mile quicker than my normal easy runs. I could easily have pushed the pace more but a friend injured himself by being too aggressive when starting to use carbons (and I can see why, it's a different feel, foot strike, muscle usage).

Really pleased with them!

Sheltering from the world of sport I’ve found this thread. You all sound like proper experts! I do a bit of running and have what I’m now guessing are really old school Saucony Peregrines. In short, and about to sound like an idiot, have these massive soles hugely improved trainers and I should go out and by myself a pair now?? My regular run is cross country: fields and country lanes.

I'd pop into somewhere like Up and Running and try on a few pairs.

Describe the sort of route to them and get some advice.

I'd also say I'm an advocate of just running in "neutral" shoes rather than ones designed to "correct" your gait - though I'm sure others may have a differing view.

I do like the Saucony Ride 18 for general, everyday, runs.

Peregrine's are great. My go to for trail running. You don't want huge cushioning for off road usually, only caveat for that is this summer it was so hard under foot I got to New Balance Hierros as they have good cushioning for trail running.

Just scraped the dirt off mine and they are model ‘10’. So I’m hoping some magical tech innovation will make the current generation simply make me go faster, despite the passage of time making me go slower.

Think mine are 14th. If you are dragging yourself this way for the game today then Saucony outlet at Cannock usually has then cheap.
