The Fitness Thread

Cheers lads, never thought I’d be able to lose that much but managed it somehow!

The muscular anus explanation sounds good to me.
20+ years ago I used to run 6-7 days a week and often had to stop in random fields in the Essington area. I ran the Wolverhampton marathon 3 times and had to stop in the same field each time. I wondered if it was partly psychological, but running is definitely a great laxative.

Three years ago I fractured an ankle when running and had to stop running on the streets. We got a treadmill, 2-4 miles 5 days a week was no problem and I thought I was regaining fitness until the treadmill broke a few weeks ago. Trying the streets again I realise how unfit I still am - 1 1/2 miles, no hills or slopes, twice a week, and much slower. Getting older does not help.

I CBA with running, but have been walking a lot, as am only cycling once per week to/from work now.
Have cut out a lot of rubbish food though.
No idea what I've lost, but have gone down a belt notch, so aiming to lose another inch/notch by christmas week.
Weighed myself the other weekend and I am 11 stone, but remember I'm a short arse! I could do with losing a bit more.

Not that bothered just wanted to give you your 200th reaction :)

I need help and advice from fit people please!

Ive lost over 30kg so far - aim at the start was 93kg, now aiming for 83kg. I’m 85kg now so pretty much there.

Started running and now doing around 4 hours a week spread over 4 days and cycling for another 2 days.

Ive been keeping to 1800-2000 calories a day for the weight loss, problem is now I am hungry ALL the time and it’s getting really difficult to resist snacking! Anyone got any ideas for healthy snacks?

As a current weight loss guru, I used the Graze range.

I bet dog biscuits would be good.

I had one of those trial graze boxes before. It was pretty good, and different.

Some sites at work order them in and I haven't found one I've particularly disliked. They do a lemon protein flapjack (I think that's what it is) that tastes really nice. Anyway, I buy in the occasional one for myself now, although I've knocked the chocolaty options on the head and just go for the savoury stuff.

Might sound a bit crazy, but have you considered going the opposite way? I find with intermittent fasting, I have got used to eating less and actually feel better and more energised. I fast like 12 hours a day, don't eat till late morning/early afternoon and just don't feel the need to snack very often.

I lost two stone on the keto diet (still another two stone to go) and too much fructose was warned against it can raise cholesterol and cause fat build up around your organs, luckily I was a bass player so I avoided that issue :)
