Cracking race and a good drive by both Vettel and Alonso. 10 point gap should be enough over two races you would imagine, but still plenty of hope for Ferrari.

Fucking delighted for Kimi. I'd have been ecstatic with beating Seb prior to the weekend, but credit to him even if massively lucked in with the safety cars.

Nando basically needs a straight shoot-out. No McLarens or Lotus in the mix and certainly no Webber. Finish 1-2 at the next race and he only has three points to find in the final one. Maybe get Massa involved to get between Nando and Vettel as a bonus. What he definitely doesn't need is Lewis charging off into the sunset and being reliable.

I told you that Raikkonen >>>>> Massa....

A huge get out of jail for Vettel today. Getting lucky he didn't damage his wing more than he did plus both SC periods working out for him.

Alonso will struggle to beat Vettel now. He really needs a DNF for Vettel in one of the last two races to beat him, as it's unlikely Alonso will win another race.

If you were a massive cynic you'd think it quite possible that Massa will end up ploughing into Vettel at some point in Austin. Of course he needs to be within half a minute of him for that to happen. Or be getting lapped by him, which is more likely.

I thought Button was very gentleman like when Vettel passed him. It was a highly risky move to take someone round the outside of that corner when it immediately narrows into another corner straight after, and also considering the Championship is at stake. Could have easily ended in tears as it did with Webber. Though Button has infinitely more class than Maldonado.

Grea drive by Vettel but he got lucky with the safety car and the first lap incidents that put him ahead of quite a few people he would otherwise have been stuck behind. Still, not many others would have got to 3rd from his position. I'm very pleased for Kimi but wish Alonso had won for the sake of the championship. Hamilton screwed over once again, that's 50 points at least thrown away by the car being unreliable this season, add to that points lost from being taken out twice and that puncture in Germany (I think) from debris that not one of the other 23 cars got and I think it's fair to say it was just never going to be his year!

I'm warming to Lewis very quickly. He was insane this weekend.

I liked his reaction at the pitwall immensely. For a man on his way, to walk up there from a win down the toilet and thank all the pit crew was really classy.

I used to think he was an absolute tit, so for me to say that shows how's he improving. I hope Merc provide with him something competitive next season as he's wasted fighting in the midfield.

He's always had that relationship with the team, we just don't see it on camera very often. Plus I expect he's getting more sentimental as his time with them comes to an end.

He's certainly seemed very chilled and open during interviews recently.

Alonso was shite yesterday, not a good time to turn in your worst performance for a long time.

Massa believes cars starting in the even grid positions will be hugely disadvantaged today, saying the grip levels are worse than in the wet!

I can't see beyond Vettel wrapping up the title today.

Vettel has it wrapped up already IMO. Alonso has to finish 4th to keep it going to Brazil. Can't see that happening barring some bad luck or crashes in front of him. A Vettel engine failure would be nice though!

Red Bull reckon the even grid positions could lose up to two rows at the start due to the lack of grip.

Ferrari are apparently changing Massa's gearbox to move Alonso up to P7. :icon_lol:

I want one of these t-shirts!
