The F1 Thread

Big claim here, but I think that was possibly Alonso's best drive of the season. Phenomenal.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has denied that he has signed any agreement to join Ferrari in the future.
BBC Sport reported two weeks ago that Ferrari already have a deal in place with the German, with an option for the 25-year-old to join them in 2014.
Vettel said: "There is nothing to tell, nothing I have signed. It is amusing. I don't know where it came from."

BBC are still banging this drum and insisting the story is coming from inside Ferrari. Intriguing.

Alonso is doing brilliantly to hang on in there but he desperately needs Vettel to get a DNF very very soon

Seems to have gone under the radar but Hülkenberg is joining Sauber next season.

Things seem a little uncertain at Force India, the team principal is a major shareholder in Kingfisher Airlines and they haven't paid their staff for about a year.

Deserved. Can't be one rule for Lewis and another for Seb.

Makes things interesting anyway!

Shame that Alonso is only in seventh. Could be a case of cheering Nando all the way tomorrow to keep the entertainment going to the end of the season.

Yup, he didn't deliver when he really needed to.

Hamilton was extraordinary. Insanely quick.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes Vettel to get into the top eight. He cannot afford to lose too much time amongst the slower traffic.

I don't think he will if he's starting from the pits. He's right down in the speed traps too. Maldonado was about 5kph quicker than anything on the grid, so he could be even more dangerous than usual at the start.

They at least have the chance to change gear ratios and wing settings now he's starting from the pit lane, which should help him overtake in the race.

He should score points now that four of them wiped each other out.

Lewis really has been shafted this season.

Turned into a shit one for me, how the hell has Seb got there? Fair play.
