FIFY!This is the kind of thing that puts me off getting into F1 tbh. It seems so corrupt.Even moreso than other sports (which is saying something).

It isn't manufactured (well, excluding today...) - it is the end result of having to put safety matters first. The other option is to red flag the race. That’s not a sport then just manufactured bullshit
The two go hand-in-hand, dontchaknowFIFY!
It's bullshit whichever way round the cars were.View attachment 4697
Is it? They've lodged a petition under 48.8, but to me 48.8 a) backs the FIA position.
Would we rather have a race finish under the SC, or get racing again, irrespective of the order or who it is? Would those here protesting think the same if the roles were reversed?

Verstappen was on Softs when the VSC happened.Based on what? Pirelli said it could do 50 laps. No reason Max doesn’t go to the end.
Bang on. They all go, or none of them do. Is that a shite way to end the season? Absolutely. But ultimately that is out of everyone's hands. The safety car is what it is, it's the random unlapping of a few cars to cause the final lap situation which is the problem here. It gave Max absolutely no penalty for pitting onto softs.
Either they all unlap or non do.

So
That’s all I needed to know, how in any sport you can punish someone who is miles ahead for something not their fault is beyond me it’s a false result. Whole point of sporting competition is to work out who is the best that’s not happened today.

Merc pit Hamilton and Verstappen would have been forced to do the same, or stay out and have to change tyres at some point any way.
Yeah apologies I got that mixed up.Well the first sentence is incorrect so the rest of your post is incorrect
