The F1 Thread

Not F1 but Mercedes announce they will quit DTM at the end of the 2018 season and join Formula E for the 2019 season.

Sauber have cancelled their agreement with Honda and agreed a deal with Ferrari. If I read it correctly sounds like it will be up to date engines too as opposed to using the previous years one.

Leclerc or Giovanazzi will be in there next year then.

Watching P3 of the Hungary GP..wonder which tyres will be ideal tomorrow..they are expecting even hotter weather for tomorrow..Raikkonen breaks track record just now

Gearbox problem for Ricciardo..Red Bull do have some problems with reliability

Massa is ill and won't race so Paul di Resta will return to an F1 racing

Sky will be annoyed as he was set to replace Brundle (still recovering from his illness) on the comms.

Thought Massa was well, did the practise..?

Ted to do co-comms? I think he's done it before.

Hopefully not Bland 1 or 2 in Hill or Herbert.

Hulkenburg really showing Palmer up this year, he's just not good enough despite all his bad luck. Ferrari, Mercedes and red bull all looking very quick going into q3

great to see its not all mercedes this year

Palmer is just mince. Nowhere near good enough IMO.

Dreadful Grand Prix today. They need to bin Hungary off, waste of everyone’s time.

Could have been so good with the front 3 so close but once within a second of each other it ruins the car behind. Great pace from Hamilton once his tyres were changed and good team work to give the spot back to Bottas (who I thought had a poor race)

A typical Hungarian race, overtaking is all but impossible. Get pole in Hungary and you should win, which is why I didn't bother to watch the procession today.

Yes, I should have known better, but I had ironing to do and it was lunch at the cricket...
