First ever win in Brazil for Hamilton.

Needs to win in Abu and hope Rosberg finishes 4th or lower.

However today is all about Max. What a drive

I think being in front gave Hamilton a great advantage as he didn't have to drive through the spray of other drivers. Though he did drive a near perfect race in testing conditions. I think Rosberg was happy to just finish second, but as you say today was all about the brilliance of Verstappen.

Max is absolutely brilliant. He could well win the championship next year if the new regs play into red bulls hands

Ericsson confirmed to be staying with Sauber.

I imagine they'll keep Nasr too, so Gutierrez to Manor looks like the last remaining seat to be confirmed.

Malaysia will stop hosting Grand Prix racing after 2018. They say that falling ticket sales and lower TV audiences are to blame.

Be about 5 places trying to take that spot (although it would be better if they didn't and sorted out the Calendar so the Baku race doesn't involve the teams having to get from Canada in a few days)

Not sure they should bother. India, South Korea, Turkey have all dropped off the calendar recently. Baku is a great addition. Less sure about Sochi as it is a bit dull.

Bernie will be ousted soon. I can't see the new owners accepting the decimation of a large part of the Asian market due to Bernie's outrageous demands. Singapore want out , China is dying a slow death, Korea has gone, India has gone, Malaysia is going...

It doesn't take much to look at some of the main sponsors on the grid and see that they've suddenly got next to no exposure in Asia.

Gasly wins the GP2 title so I imagine he'll take the Vandoorne route next season with Toro Rosso full.

Giovanazzi will be one to follow. He might have a squeak at the remaining Sauber drive now that Nasr has lost his main sponsor.

So Nico the Champion with the odd stat of winning less races than Lewis (10-9 to Lewis). In terms of reliability, he couldn't have asked for a better season in terms of driving - consistant.

Lewis getting a crap load of stick for slowing the race down but he had no choice. He couldn't drive off and hope Nico had a shite drive, he had to put the Bulls and Ferrari's on his arse

Id imagine Lewis would say he needed to look after his engine, given past experience....

Mercedes told him to speed up to win the race and he said "I don't know if you noticed but I am leading"

He had to try the tactic and it didn't come off.

Cant see anything wrong with what Hamilton did tbh.

Mercedes are too wrapped up in the team game. Get the 1-2 is all they want.

Today they had to forget about that and realise it was a straight out fight for the title that needed some tactics from 1 driver.

As long as Nico was in the top 3, Lewis was never going to drive off and hope for the best.

No issue with Lewis doing that. Everybody on the grid would have done the same in the circumstances. Serious steel from Nico to not lose his concentration though.
