Absolutely. Vettel got a lovely benefit out of pitting on lap 43 as well. Feel very sorry for Bottas.

Really shit stuff from Williams. Got what their choices deserved and Bottas has every right to be fucked off.

Surely Massa could have buffeted the Mercs and let Bottas go in front. Odd decision making.

Good race though.

If Bottas had got ahead he would have had a decent gap at the pit stops

Bottas should have won that. Crap strategy and he ends up fifth. Very poor by Williams.

If bottas deserved to win he should have been able to pass his team mate.

So I have been to a christening and miss the best race of the season so far....

It was a good race Frank. It would have been even better had Williams not cocked it up.

All I know is that Hamilton won. Were the Williams as quick as Mercedes today then?

Nope. They told him NOT to race just when it mattered. They changed that call too late.

Good straight line speed but the Mercedes are still quicker. Issue is when you right behind a car it's very difficult to get in front of them. Both Mercedes had no grip on the start and the Williams took them both. Issue was they couldn't build a lead. Bottas was the quicker of the 2 but just as he was starting to make moves his team pulled him back. Eventually told him if he wanted to pass Massa to make it clean. All that nobbing around meant Lewis could take advantage at the pit stop. Once in the lead he pulled away with ease.

Rain made it fun at the end as Hamiltons tyres had gone and Rosberg had him on toast burt after putting his Inters on it rained heavily moments later and the race was his.

In other news.....Alonso got a point, despite taking Button out on lap 1 after trying to avoid the 2 Lotus cars taking each other out.

I'm not sure Bottas would have won even if he'd have got past Massa early. The Mercs were clearly quicker in the wet/changeable conditions and Bottas wouldn't have got that far ahead of them by the time the rain came.

I don't think Hamiltons tyes had gone, more they were cold and didn't have grip anymore, if it hadn't rained he'd have been fine. At least that's what they said on the aftershow on sky f1

Nico's tyres seemed fine at exactly the same time. 2s a lap he was catching him. If Lewis' tyres had gone cold then it was his own fault for not pushing hard enough. He got really lucky today no doubt about it.

Very sadly, it has just been reported that Jules Bianchi has died. He had been in a coma since his accident last year.

Blimey. Didn't think he was in that bad a way.
