The Darts Thread

Not sure if this should be in the gogglebox thread but the documentary Game of Throws is a good watch. Behind the scenes at last years Worlds with added home life stuff included. 2 episodes in so far.
 
Boss called me up today and mentioned we've bought a hospitality table for 10 at Ally Pally next week, and would I be willing to host some of our corporate partners.

Obviously I had to think about it for a bit.
 
You then said "no you'd rather be covered in steak surrounded by 25 underfed rottweilers?" Rather than put up with a load of pissed up idiots too busy singing pointless and irrelevant songs at each other, to actually watch the thing they've paid a shit tonne of money for?
 
If you fancy a piss up in a big room full of noisy people, with overpriced beer, while you watch some darts on a big screen, it must be great.

I'd rather watch it at home or in the pub tbh.
 
Dont worry - I wont be in with the plebs. Its a hospitality jolly.

Could it get even worse?

Ripper suggesting how Australian it still is. I dont think I have seen fosters anywhere here. Obvs Queensland is more XXXX country, but even so....

Fucking Fosters. Only standard Carlsberg matches it in the piss-water stakes.

We were brewing Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX in Burton when I worked at the brewery 25 years ago.
 
And he gets to spend Christmas at home with his kids…

Saw my pal Jim (Williams) mention he’d “not picked up his darts in about three weeks as I’ve been too busy with work”.

Mad the difference between the players who have to work day to day and fit the darts in around it compared to the full timers.
 
Menzies literally up there crying. Crowd have been all over him.
