Is it that Hamilton????

Oh my.

His wheels must have fallen off spectacularly. I remember him being very good.

Just totally lost it overnight it seems. He was solid QF/SF material for a while and then...it was gone.

Ronnie Baxter is another who disappeared out of nowhere (he's old now, but he went from really good to shite overnight)

Mervyn King & Steve Beaton are doing alright still in 19th and 20th respectively earning £194k and £190k each.

The next big thing Kirk Shepherd is still about in 75th earning £35k

Wright out in R2 to Toni Alcinas.

Always had a keen interest back in the Bristow/Lowe/Deller/Wilson (etc etc) golden era, but was one of those that kind of lost interest as darts moved away from the beeb and seemed to lose its way for a while.

Anyway, never did get to see any of those guys live and so with the resurgence in popularity of the game, have taken the bull by the horns and booked a couple of ‘table’ tickets for the final on the 1st.

Just wondered if anyone’s got any experience of live darts? Any do’s or dont’s, or what-to-expects? The place can look like a bit of madhouse on tv, but I guess that’s part of the enjoyment.

Still a long way to go between now and then, but can only hope for a fitting final with a cracking atmosphere.

Anyone been or any thoughts or suggestions?

Cheers guys.

I've been to plenty of live PDC darts events. You'll hopefully have a great time. If you're drinking take out the loan now though as it can get very expensive.

Basically what SSB said and don’t wear a football top they’ll not let you in

Double trouble for both Wayne and Devon in the last leg decider. Thought Micheal Owen was commentating until I saw it was Mark Webster.

Barney gone as well.

He doesn't really merit a PL place any more, he'll get one though because it's his last year and for the Dutch crowds.

Didn’t play well either. It’s like his heads just not in the game at the moment

Some BDO level stuff from Van den Bergh and Puleo at the moment. Pretty dreadful.

Delighted to find out this morning that turbocunt Gerwyn Price lost last night...from 2-0 up.

As soon as the Wolves Liverpool game finished I put the darts on and it was the Price Aspinall match. Didn’t know too much about either player and naturally sided with the English guy, but for some reason seemed to take an immediate dislike to Price. Was awesome watching the turnaround - Price was all puffed chest, fist pumps and arrogant swagger, and wow, the joy in watching Aspinall dismantle him. Price had a face like a burst welly at the end.

Stonking atmosphere in there too. The crowd bloody loved that.

Cheers, thanks.

My son is at Uni and I didn’t realise there is quite a group that are well into the darts. It was his 21st last month so I tried to get surprise tickets quite late in the day but the only ones available were those Thomas Cook hotel package jobs. As a one-off just kind of thought, what the heck, so have gone for the whole shebang.

Seem to spend half my time watching the darts and half my time watching the crowd. And of the half of the crowd time, half of that is spent laughing, the other half disparing.

Still not too sure what to make of it to be honest.

Price is always a disgrace but he took it even further at the Grand Slam last month. Appalling character.

Price needs to just fuck off.

Mervyn king looks like he’s added a lot of weight and has a golden oportunity to get into the semis

Yeah, after the match I started reading up about him. Saw his antics on YouTube too. I’m really not sure that fella is wired up properly.

Found myself watching MVG’s 17 Perfect Darts on YouTube over and over. Doesn’t matter how much you want it to the 18th dart just won’t go in. Still a great watch with the commentary doing it justice. Must have been something seeing that live.

King needs to get past Brendan Dolan first. Dolan looking very good here.
