Shame for her, but well played to him. That must have been a nightmare match. Lisa Ashton should definitely be back on that stage though. Her game is clearly good enough.
 
Simple answer to that, end the tokenism and have them play on the Challenge Tour. They actually probably would qualify (the top 3-4 players anyway).
 
I've never really understood why Darts, snooker and other pub games have any gender to them. It's unlikely to give an advantage.
 
The good thing about darts is that all both players irregardless of gender you have 3 darts in your hand and the same 501 score to beat
 
Height and reach come into it a bit with snooker. That table is bigger than you think...

How does that work with the top female players being BDO affiliated though? I agree that the more they play at the PDC standard the better, but the BDO womens title is their pretty much only exposure and that could be taken away.

Saying that, I reckon Ashton would worry most of the male BDO players looking at that performance

Easy enough, Bazza just offers out freebie second tier PDC cards to anyone who wants to come over.
 
Killing the BDO. Which is a good thing as you and I don't have to scream at the screen all January about how we would make at least the third round!!!

You've got to wonder how and why the BDO keeps limping on.

We were deriding it a decade ago (and it was a lot better then than it is now, Gando didn't move to the PDC until Jan/Feb 2009 for a start)

All played (this was before Waites and Hankey fell off a cliff, and when Silverback wasn't ancient). That's not bad at all!

I just looked at the draw again. I am now quite fucking angry. It's fucking spanner darts now. I would back my fucking dog to win.
 
Durrant is quality (and will move over after this year, though he should have done it five years ago) and I like Dirk Kuyt lookalike Veenstra.

The rest...man. Waites is still seeded 11th and he has been utter bobbins for years.

Wezzzzzzz Newton is in there too, some fall from grace he had. He was in the Premier League as recently as 2014.
 
Harms could be decent apart from being weighed down by more fucking jewels round the neck than BA Baracus.
 
Harms is a bottlejob.

Actually Andy Hamilton is in the prelims as well! Another one with a scary decline. It's only seven years since he made the PDC final.
